I haven't kept my vow to keep up with my blog. I have chickens, its summer, I have a veggie garden, its summer, I have multiple dogs and cats, its summer. I even forgot to drink my afternoon coffee this afternoon so now I'm hyped on caffeine now.

I got the Silkie coop cleaned today, got some mowing done, some maintenance on other stuff complete and worked on my brush cutter. I even ran the dishwasher. Wonder where all that energy came from.

People please put keepher352@yahoo.com in your memory banks if you email me. I hate the email on this site, its so incredibly slow and I hate slow. 

I candled the eggs that the girls are sitting on tonight. Looks like I'm going to have an over load of white Silkies, BLB/LB Dutch and Silver Spangled Hamburgs. I wonder how quickly I can get another coop built.

We've had a generous amount of rain so far this year. Quite a pleasant surprise. The garden is doing quite well, which I failed to check today. I've got to find time to do some tilling and get the cool weather crops in next week. 

We had a very close call tornado wise a few weeks ago. I had the mattress half off the bed and sat and watched the trees swirl. The husband person is now convinced that the new house will have rooms built using poured concrete. 

The next few days are supposed to be uncommonly cool around here so I think you know where I'll be. I'll finish the coops tomorrow, do some more construction and remember to get in to the garden.
